Amazon Cloud Drive support will be discontinued in Transmit 5.6.1

On 9/19/2019 we received an email from Amazon telling us that Transmit 5 can no longer support Amazon Cloud Drive. It appears that while the Cloud Drive service itself will continue to work, they will be disallowing third party clients like Transmit the ability to connect to this service. This isn’t limited to Transmit: it appears that Amazon has been slowly limiting 3rd party access to Cloud Drive over the past year.

This also means that you will not be able to roll back to a previous version of Transmit to connect to Cloud Drive as this will be happening on Amazon’s end.

We apologize to anyone using Transmit to access Cloud Drive for the inevitable inconvenience.

Note: This does NOT affect Amazon S3 in any way whatsoever. You’ll still be able to connect to S3 in Transmit just as you always have.
