NOTE: As of Mac OS X 10.10.5 (Yosemite), the following method no longer works for Transmit, as Safari’s cookies are no longer globally accessible. At the time of this writing, we are not aware of a way to connect to Sharepoint via WebDAV in Transmit. We are investigating possible fixes. This article will be updated when we have a workaround or a fix.

Connecting to Sharepoint in Transmit on Mac OS X 10.9 and earlier

In order to connect to your Microsoft Sharepoint instance in Transmit, you’ll need to login via a web browser first.

Launch Safari and go to your company’s Sharepoint web login. It’ll be something like https://login.microsoftonline.com/. It may be different, though– check with your administrators.

Once you’re there, login and make sure to choose “Keep me signed in”. From here, you’ll be able to login via Transmit. It’s a restriction that Microsoft put in place– Sharepoint doesn’t use a standard WebDAV connection for some reason.
